registrants in each category. If the number of
registrants is sufficient, there will be a race for each

type of boat for registration.
Notes The rowing course will be officially open
for training starting on Thursday, 27 July from 7:30 to
20:00 until Saturday, 29 July at 20:00. During this time, training will be supervised
by security boats and medical services will be available
on-site. We ask you to be cautious when approaching the
1,000 metre start area.
The basin will not be available for
training during the competition days of 30 and 31 July.
However, it is possible to train on the water after the
final race of the day on 30 July, depending upon the
competition schedule. Please note that boats are not
allowed on the water after 8:00.
Boat Rental Boat rental during the 1st World Outgames
will be organised by the Montral Rowing Club
(MRC).
Visit the website of the Montral
Rowing Club form information about rental procedures and
fill out the on-line rental inquire form.
Upon filling out the form, the
Montral Rowing Club will contact you by e-mail or phone
once the full rental form becomes available in February
2006.
The Montral Rowing Club can also be
contacted via e-mail at rental@avironmontreal.com.
Participants travelling the furthest
distance will be considered first for boat rental. It
is, however, essential to submit requests to the
organising committee as soon as possible to allow us
organise according to the requests received and confirm
your reservation. We suggest that teams, depending on
their requirements, bring their own oars.
Boat rentals will take place in a
designated area of the competition site. Whenever
possible, class A competition boats will be made
available to participants. The organising committee will
accommodate as many rowers as possible.
All clubs are strongly encouraged to lend
their boats to the organising committee via the Montral
Rowing Club, who will rent the boats to users. This
could be a good way for some clubs to finance their trip
to Montral. Clubs wishing to lend their boats for
competitions can contact us at rental@avironmontreal.com.
The official race
programme will be available as soon as the draw has been
completed, two weeks after the registration deadline,
and will be posted on our website at least two weeks
before the event. The programme will be structured
according to the number of participants registered in
each event.
For traffic rules
during competition, Refer to map outlining water traffic
rules.
Warm up and
Cool Down Warm ups and cool downs can be
done in the Warm Up/Cool Down Centre located near the
