Gay + Lesbian Rowing Federation Community Guidelines
The Gay + Lesbian Rowing Federation online platform exists to connect the global LGBTQ+ rowing communities. As an individual membership organization, every member has an equal voice, and every member should feel comfortable in one’s participation and expression without fear of judgement, harassment, shaming, bullying, discrimination, or intimidation.
All content is welcome as long as it is rowing-related and celebrates the LGBTQ+ rowing community. Content that is outside the scope of rowing, be it human rights, civil rights, reproductive rights, religious rights, or geographic rights, and general off-topic content will be removed.
Every member is asked to behave in a polite and respectful manner and must not engage in online practices that can be viewed as mean and hurtful: all caps, bolding, abuse of emoji’s, trolling, spreading rumour or misinformation, posting altered or AI-generated images meant to embarrass someone or cast judgement, speaking ill of other users, and impersonating another user.
Since the GLRF community is open to anyone 13 years and older, we must ask the community to strictly observe these guidelines:
· Do not send bulk, unsolicited private messages to other users.
· Do not organize, promote, or engage in any illegal activities.
· Do not self-promote through excessive posting or uploading of content designed to attract attention to your business.
· Do not share the personal information of other users or others in the rowing community.
· Do not mislead GLRF staff members by making false or malicious reports about user’s content, send multiple reports about the same issue, and ask a group of users to report the same user’s content.
· Do not post NSFW content: no explicit images that show male or female genitalia and anal openings
· Do not create usernames that are obviously sexual in nature, demeaning, or degrading
The GLRF Team reserves the right to warn and if necessary ban any user that does not comply with these community guidelines. Yes, it is brutal but we have to stand firm to create a positive, thriving community.
