GLRF member la_palma took these pics from Beiing in 2005: The rowing club I spotted is not really a club but a public school who has rowing (and canoeing) on their physical education agenda. I am trying to negotiate a deal to be part of their fun crowd as the only lauwei (foreigner). Their club and the setup might be very primitive (I especially do like the wooden oars) but they are good rowers. - zaijian
