To the GLRF Community:

For the 2012 Summer Olympics, we thought it would be fun for the GLRF community to see the olympic rowing results sorted by countries. So as the finals come in, we'll start country topics for say France, Italy, Canada, Ireland, and so on... and then in the first post of the country topics, list the final results of that particular country showing the place in a given race.

As an example, the Denmark country topic might show in the first post:

Men's Lightweight Double - 1st place

Women's Quad - 4th place

Women's Pair - 2nd place

and yes, the United States country topic might show in the first post:

Men's Pair - 7th place ...

The plan is to update the results on a daily basis over the four day period that the finals take place. We hope GLRF members will reply to some or most of the topics to comment on how the Italian team was robbed in the Men's Single scull for 3rd place ... and so on.

Here is a print screen of the rowing events:

All races are now posted, by country. For the eagle eye amongst the GLRF community, you may spot some omissions.

Those are for the people who did not actually race, either because they were assigned a code of 'DNS' (did not start) or there was only one entry in a heat.

We did not adjust the IOC's ranking since it is theirs to publish but as an illustration, for the US men's single scull, since he was listed as DNS, his listing (24th place) was omitted for the United States but the listing for 25th place, China, is included since the guy did race.
