Queer Regatta at Sweden Magelungen rowing course

Alternative Event No. 2 - for rowers during 2015 EuroGames Stockholm

On Saturday, 08 August 2015, a small queer regatta will be hosted at the Magelungen rowing course (the same venue proposed by the 2015 Eurogames Organizing Committee, located approximately 15 km south of Stockholm. The event will involve just two boats in the categories: 4X/4-, 8+, and possibly 2X.

• To participate in the races on Saturday, 08 August, a contribution of Euro 15 (SEK 140) per person is requested. [please note this contribution is separate from the rowing tour event]
  
• Please RSVP if you plan to participate.
  
• Please indicate which race categories you would be interested in competing:
  
  • 2X (double scull)
    
  • 4- (coxless four)
    
  • 4X (quadruple scull)
    
  • 8+ (eight)
    
  • If you already have a team, please provide the names of the full crew. If you do not have a team but would like to row on a combined team, just let me know and we will see whether we can help you construct a team.
    
  • If you think that we should take into account your age, gender, weight or other defining characteristic when racing, please provide the relevant information. Depending on the number of registrations, we will decide wether handicaps will be applied or not.
    
  • Depending on the number of people signing up, we may change the races to only 500m (currently planned for 1000m).

  • Packing and transporting boats (Friday afternoon / evening)
    
  • Packing and transporting boats (Saturday evening)
    
  • Rigging boats and adjusting equipment (Saturday)
    
  • Boat managers (assigning boats to crews)
    
  • Docks (helping crews in and out of boats)
    
  • Cashier (collecting money for the sightseeing rowing tour and races)
    
  • Umpire (starters, time keepers)
    
  • Any (other) task
