Harlem River Community Rowing (HRCR) is a volunteer-driven rowing program in New York City. We are committed to providing quality, affordable, accessible rowing opportunities for all New Yorkers and to helping to expand and enhance access to the Harlem River for on-water physical fitness and recreation, in particular for the communities of Northern Manhattan and the West and South Bronx.

A US organization whose primary purpose is the oversight and execution of the SRAA Championship regatta, held every May.

 

The regatta is regarded as an informal championship for juniors. (under 19 rowing programs).

 

The website claims that the SRAA has "been the principal source of rules and procedures governing high school rowing." Not so sure about that - USRowing might disagree

 

 

The National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) oversees all official competitive sports in all colleges and universities in the United States.

 

When we say 'official,', the NCAA rules do not apply to university "club" rowing programs. Those are unofficial programs that do not receive any funding from the NCAA.

 

If you row for an official NCAA sport at a college or university, you are subject to various rules.
