O remo adaptado contará com uma prova masculina, uma feminina e duas mistas, que serão realizadas entre os dias 09 e 11 de setembro, sempre a partir das 8h30 da manhã, na Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas. No total, 96 atletas de 25 países participarão das disputas.

A equipe paralímpica da Seleção Brasileira disputou três das quatro provas de remo adaptado realizadas na Terceira Etapa da Copa do Mundo, que aconteceu em Poznan, na Polônia, entre os dias 17 e 19 de junho. O Brasil foi representado pelos atletas Cláudia Santos, Renê Pereira e a dupla Michel Pessanha e Josiane Lima.

Hala Arena w Szczecinie, z widownią mogącą pomieścić 4500 widzów, będzie gościła zawodników z wielu krajów europejskich, którzy przyjadą do nas rywalizować o medale w tej prężnie rozwijającej się dyscyplinie sportowej. Zawodniczki i zawodnicy będą ścigać się na dystansie 2000 m w kategorii open w podziale na kategorie wagowe: waga lekka i normalna. W hali Arena będziemy gościć kadrę narodową naszego kraju. Szykuje się wyjątkowe sportowe widowisko. W hali głównej zostaną rozstawione 24 nowe ergometry do rozgrywania zawodów oraz 45 ergometrów przeznaczonych na rozgrzewkę.
