Nude Chicks Rowing
What? Where? Yes, you too can enjoy the beauty of women rowing naked every month of the year in the 2006 Rowing Revealed calendar, published by the Ashland Rowing Club. Does this benefit GLRF? Nope, but we knew the GLRF women wouldn’t want to miss a peak at these great pics! Scroll down to the posts section on the Women’s Community page.

A media frenzy over GLRF in Croatia
We have no idea what caused the first article to appear, but over the course of one week in December, GLRF was the focus of 3 media articles and a TV segment. [The Croatia Global Rower page created the stir]. In one day, our web server recorded 280,000 hits! We are still working on the translations but we do have scanned copies of both newspaper articles. Read the full story at the Torino Times, and please help us to welcome all of the new GLRF members from Croatia! [Make a post on “Hrvatska” on the ALL OARS message board.]
Craftsbury ends partnership
GLRF was stunned by the sudden news that the Craftsbury Sculling Center would not continue with its GLRF partnership for the 2006 season. The reasons were not entirely clear but we hope they will reconsider in the future. In the meantime, we are exploring a one-week sculling program with the Florida Sculling Center in March 2006. More to follow.
Chicago Gay Games Regatta: hold water!
After consultations with both the GLRF board and the Regatta Advisory Group, GLRF has temporarily suspended the promotion of the 2006 Chicago Gay Games Regatta. With no progress towards selecting a venue or organizing the regatta, GLRF felt the continued promotion of the regatta would not be in the best interests of the GLRF membership. Several options have been presented to the Chicago organizers but with so little time remaining, it has become a major concern.
