The SF Bay Blades have had more than their 15 minutes of fame this spring. First, they are a featured part of the new reality show, “30 Days.” The show aims to show what it is like to live in someone else’s shoes for 30 days. Read about the shy straight Midwest boy as he coxes for the SFBB. In June, it was more close-ups: Q Television produced a weeklong live broadcast from San Francisco and the SFBB sat at the ready.

Congratulations are in order for a brave group of rowers from Rio de Janeiro who have committed to compete in the 2006 1st World Outgames in Montréal. GLRF member Arnaldo11 has been the organizing force behind creating a team. They need our support and encouragement. In a surprise to the worldwide gay and lesbian rowing community, rowing was not listed in any of the three bids submitted in March to host the 2010 Gay Games. Read about the circumstances, and the unique opportunity presented to rowers.
