Financial Support

The Gay and Lesbian Rowing Federation relies upon membership subscriptions, donations, and sponsorships for its ongoing operations. As a self-sustaining organization, your support is vital for the ongoing operation of GLRF.

OnTheWater Upgrade

The broadest source of basic financial support comes from our OnTheWater membership upgrade. Since the founding of the organization, we have set the annual paid membership at US$20. Starting in 2025, the OnTheWater membership will increase to US$45 to address rising operating costs as well as support our vision for the future: a recurring global regatta and our annual global indoor ergatta. If you upgrade before 2025, you will be locked into the lower annual membership fee for life.

Donations

The costs for running the Gay + Lesbian Rowing Federation can be broken down to three areas: Events, Promotion, and Operating Costs. We have created three fundraising goals that together comprise our 2025 budget. Please consider donating to one or more of the areas to help us meet our annual budget goals. Donations to each area will be earmarked for those specific budget line items.

Sponsorships

We weclome sponsorships, be it in kind clothing donations, underwriting a portion of registrants at the Sin City Erg, co-branded t-shirts, sponsoring a portion or the entire GLRF booth at a regatta, or direct sponsorship grants.
